What is inside?

Children get a great sense of achievement from having made something  by themselves. Making a book  is a great example. It is made personal by there own illustrations and they will feel confident reading it because they know the content off by heart! Maybe they can read it to a younger child…

Instructions

  • Print out the What is inside Booklet (pdf)
  • For the front cover – write the childs name or get them to write it themselves.
  • Cut out the picture flaps (pages 9-12)

  • Draw what is inside! Let the children’s imagination flow. It is always very interesting to see just what they come up with!
You may want to label the drawings. Then read the book together.

  • For the last page, your child can make up their own object that can have things put inside it, eg: suitcase, shoebox, etc…
  • Bind the booklet together and enjoy it!
